Can I really not be turned down?
Yes — that is the whole point of guaranteed acceptance life insurance. If you are between 50 and 85, you cannot be declined. There are no health questions, no medical exam, and no records check. Your health, your medications, and your history simply are not asked about.
What does it cost at my age?
Your rate depends on four things only: your age, your gender, your state, and how much coverage you choose. Health never changes the price. The same person can be quoted very different prices by different carriers — which is exactly why we compare several of them before you decide. Fill out the form and you will see real numbers for your age, free.
What is the 2-year waiting period, exactly?
Every guaranteed acceptance policy — including the ones advertised on TV — starts with a waiting period, usually the first 2 years (3 at a few carriers). If the insured person passes away from natural causes during that window, the insurance company refunds all premiums paid, typically plus 7–10% interest, instead of paying the full coverage amount. After the waiting period, the full amount is paid for any cause of death.
What happens if I die during the waiting period?
If death is from natural causes, your beneficiary receives every premium dollar back plus interest — typically 7–10%. If death is from an accident, most policies pay the full coverage amount even during the waiting period, starting day one. Your family is never left with nothing.
Does my rate ever go up?
No. This is whole life insurance: the premium you start with is locked in for life. It cannot increase because of your age, your health, or anything else.
Does my coverage ever expire?
No. As long as premiums are paid, the coverage lasts your whole life. It cannot be cancelled because of age or health, and it never has to be renewed.
Do smokers pay more?
No. Almost all guaranteed acceptance carriers charge smokers and non-smokers the same rate, because nobody is asked any health or lifestyle questions in the first place.
How much coverage do I need?
Most families use this insurance for final expenses. The national median cost of a funeral with burial is projected at roughly $10,500 in 2026, and cremation with a viewing runs around $6,300. That is why most people choose between $10,000 and $25,000 — enough for the funeral plus final bills, without paying for more than they need.
What does Senior Life Insurance Houston charge?
Nothing. Our comparison service is free, and you pay exactly the same premium as if you walked up to the insurance company directly. Agents are paid by the carrier, not by you — so comparing through us costs you nothing and usually saves you money.
Which companies do you compare?
We compare quotes from multiple A-rated insurance carriers that offer guaranteed acceptance coverage in Texas. Which carriers fit you depends on your age and the coverage amount you want — we'll tell you exactly which carriers we quoted when we call with your numbers.
Is the $9.95-a-month plan on TV a good deal?
Be careful with it. That famous TV plan sells coverage in "units" — $9.95 buys one unit, but how much insurance a unit buys shrinks as you get older. At 57, one unit is roughly $1,300 of coverage; by 77 it is under $500. Most people need many units, and the math is hard to compare. We quote in plain dollars — you tell us the coverage amount, we tell you the monthly price from several carriers, and you see exactly what you are buying.
I have cancer, diabetes, or heart disease — does that matter?
No. Guaranteed acceptance means exactly that: no health questions, no exam, no medical records. A cancer history, dialysis, COPD, a recent stroke — none of it can be used to decline you or raise your rate. If you are in the age range, you qualify.
Can I buy this for my parent?
Yes, adult children arrange this for a parent all the time. Your parent simply has to know about the policy and sign the application themselves. You can pay the premiums and be named the beneficiary. Tell us "My parent" on the form and we will walk you both through it.
How fast am I covered?
Fast. There is no exam or underwriting to wait for, so most policies are approved and in force within days — often the same week you apply. Remember the waiting period still applies to natural causes for the first 2 years; accidental death is typically covered in full from day one.
I'm healthy — is guaranteed acceptance my only option?
Honestly: no. If you are in good health, policies that ask a few health questions usually cost less for the same coverage and skip the waiting period. Tell us you are healthy when we call — if a better option exists for you, we will say so. Guaranteed acceptance is built for people who would rather not answer health questions, or who have been declined before.
What happens after I submit the form?
A licensed Texas agent — not a call center — calls you within one business day at the time you picked. We confirm your age, state, and the coverage amount you want, compare guaranteed acceptance carriers for your situation, and give you the numbers by phone or email. If you like one, we complete the application with you by phone. If not, no obligation and no pressure.
